How Corporate Partners Help Us Change Lives

How businesses can make a real impact

Every day at Hair We Share, we meet people who are facing one of the most vulnerable moments of their lives. Medical hair loss affects confidence, identity, and emotional well‑being — and the free wigs we provide often become a turning point in someone’s healing.

What many people don’t realize is that behind every wig we create, there’s a community of supporters who make it possible. Families, donors, volunteers… and increasingly, businesses who want their work to mean something more.

Here’s how companies can get involved in the mission we carry out every day.

💛 Why Businesses Matter in This Work

Corporate partners help us reach more people, faster. Their support strengthens the backbone of our mission by contributing to:

  • Wig production costs the most significant and ongoing need

  • Hair donation drives that bring in long ponytails and the sponsorships needed to turn them into wigs

  • Awareness campaigns that help families discover our program

  • Volunteer engagement that brings teams together around purpose

When a company chooses to stand with us, they’re not just writing a check. They’re helping restore confidence and dignity for someone who truly needs it.

🤝 Ways Companies Can Get Involved

We’ve created a new Corporate Partnerships pagethat outlines simple, meaningful ways businesses can support our mission — whether they’re a small local shop or a national brand.

Some of the most popular options include:

  • Sponsoring our Annual Gala is one of the most powerful ways a business can support our mission.

  • Hosting a hair donation event with employees or customers

  • Launching a cause‑marketing campaign that gives back with every sale

  • Providing pro bono services or donating products that help support our mission while promoting your brand

  • Supporting us through workplace giving or matching gifts

Each partnership is flexible, collaborative, and designed to reflect a company’s values

🌟 What Corporate Support Looks Like in Real Life

Some of the most meaningful moments in our work come from partners who step in with exactly what we need, exactly when we need it.

  • Verizon hosted an employee volunteer day, bringing hands‑on help and energy into our workspace. Their team helped us move projects forward that directly support wig recipients.

  • Granite Telecommunications includes us in their annual Saving by Shaving event, which raises funds for childhood cancer. They collect ponytails, sponsor them, and send them to us in beautifully organized batches — a huge help to our production process.

  • Pechanga Resort Casino hosted their Mane Campaign, where participants cut their ponytails and sponsored them, ensuring every donation could be processed into a wig. Their event brought awareness, funding, and beautifully prepared ponytails into our program.

  • BBI (Wet Brush, Goody, Ouidad, Bio Ionic) supports our events and donates products that directly benefit our recipients. Their brands help us provide high‑quality tools and care items that make wig maintenance easier and more empowering for the people we serve.

  • Moroccanoil donated professional‑grade products, including blonde dye, at a time when we were facing a shortage. Their generosity helped us create wigs for recipients who had been waiting for lighter colors.

  • Salon partners across the country volunteer their time and expertise to dye, style, and prepare wigs. Many also participate in our United Salons of America program, turning their craft into a direct act of kindness.

  • Other professionals donate services — photography, design, printing, event support, and more — allowing us to stretch our resources and focus on what matters most: getting wigs to people who need them.

These partnerships remind us that impact doesn’t come from one place — it comes from a community of people and businesses who believe in restoring dignity through hair.

🌱 A Partnership That Creates Real Change

Every wig we provide is a reminder that people care — that someone out there wanted to help a stranger feel whole again. Corporate partners amplify that impact. They help us reach more recipients, reduce wait times, and keep our program strong for the long term.

If your business, team, or organization is looking for a meaningful way to give back, we’d love to connect.

Together, we can change lives — one wig, one donor, one act of kindness at a time.

A Note From Suzanne, Hair We Share Cofounder

Thank you for taking the time to understand how businesses help us continue this mission. Every partnership — whether through an event, a service, or a sponsorship — directly impacts someone who needs support during a vulnerable moment. I’m grateful you’re here, and I hope you’ll consider joining us in this work.
